Beyond the Veil: A Scientist’s Experiences

Death:OK (Let’s Talk About It) is a day of inspiration, information, and connection taking place October 17, 2015 on the campus of Reed College in Portland, Oregon.  As part of an ongoing series profiling our presenters, we’re pleased to introduce you to…

Alice Hardesty. “Beyond the Veil: A Scientist’s Experiences.”

unnamedAlice Hardesty will recount the beyond-death experiences she encountered with her husband, Jack. They occurred when he was in a crisis due to “terminal” esophageal cancer, from which he subsequently recovered. They experienced healing through a medium from a surgeon who had passed over in 1937, also from a group of relatives and friends in spirit form summoned by another medium, and a respected spiritual healer in Germany. “Although my career has been in science,” she says, “I have never doubted the validity of these experiences.”

Alice has had many years of experience giving presentations and teaching seminars in her field of acoustics and hearing science. More recently, she has presented several readings and seminars focused on the journey she and Jack traveled together when he was given a terminal diagnosis. Her memoir about these experiences is An Uncommon Cancer Journey: The Cosmic Kick That Healed Our Lives.
